The concluding ceremony of Golden Jubilee celebration of K-2 and 51st anniversary of Nanga Parbat will be held on August 5 at 9:30 am at National Library of Pakistan.

Rais Munir Ahmed, Minister of State for Culture & Tourism will be the chief guest on the ceremony, held under the arrangement of Pakistan Development Corporation (PTDC) and Ministry of Tourism, said a release here on Sunday.

More than 300 mountaineers, trekkers and tour operators belonging to 19 countries, who are returning from K-2 base camp, will participate in the concluding ceremony.

They will exchange views on development of tourism in the country.

50 years back on July 31, 1954, a great mountaineer of Italy Lino Locidile ascended the K-2 first time and in recognition to his great endeavour these celebrations were held this year in the country.
